Anthony made his mark in the industry in 2015 when he moved to Houston in 2015 after graduating from LSU with degrees in English, History, and Human Resources with an emphasis in leadership and development. He launched his award-winning luxury wedding cake studio and bakery concept, Wedding Cakes by Lane & Simple while working for Camp Ozark.
By utilizing social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, and his gift for digital design and branding,
Anthony was able to reach a wider audience and showcase his delicious creations. This launch strategy helped him to build a strong following and reputation in the industry.
By 2019, Anthony was competing and winning against top local chefs in the savory side of the culinary scene. His mind for branding, sales skills, people skills, hospitality, service, and creativity in the kitchen caught the attention of Food & Beverage Magazine, which featured him on the cover of their April 2021 issue, recognizing him as a young rising chef to watch that is paving the way for the younger generation that is rising in the Food and Beverage industry and beyond.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Anthony's love for food is deeply rooted in his heritage. He brings his unique blend of Cajun and Creole flavors to just about anything he makes. He truly believes in the power of food to bring people together,
Shelby Zunker has had a passion for baking since she was little! She is a graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Nutrition Science and just finished Pastry school at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC!
Along with school, Shelby has been in the service industry for 6 years and have had the opportunity to work in many different roles and atmospheres. She is so excited to bring all she has learned to the Cakes by Lane and Simple Team! She can’t wait to make something for your special day!
